Sterling Silver Art Deco Wing and Flower Necklace:

 This necklace features a 26x17x17mm triangle made in Israel. Normally these pendants are the perfect component for chandelier style designs. In this case we've turned it on it's side and hung one Preciosa® Czech made, pressed glass flower with an Aurora Borealis finish. I love wearing mine with a high collar shirt. Because of it's asymmetrical quality it's one of the few necklaces that looks nice over fabric.

This necklace with it's metalwork detailed pendant, has inspiration from native and tribal artwork. The antiqued silver is amazingly detailed with fine lines in a fan-like pattern. Fresh Jewelry Designs

It's May and the academic year is coming to a close. Why not take time to say 'Thank you' to those who have made a difference in your life and 'Congratulations' to that special person in cape and gown. This natural swirled marble bead gives a new twist to the standard "Apple" for Teacher appreciation gift. It's a great graduation present as well!  

 

Today I awoke to find my trash can had been knocked over by a mischievous bear. In light of that, I found it appropriate to post our new bear paw necklace. These five labradorite teardrops are the focus of a magical Bear Paw shape. The color dances blue-green, glows sea-foam and flickers gold and teal when hit by natural light. The tear stones lay on a delicate sterling silver chain.

SMMS Jewelry Around Town

The Circle W Market is a unique grocery store offering fine foods and homemade meals while also providing handpicked antique and handcrafted items.  The location is at the foot of Hunter Mountain in the Kaaterskill Clove.  Over the Holiday season SMMS Design jewelry and cards were available there, what resonated with the people in the beautiful Catskill area were the more natural designs, with use of nuts and seeds. The pea pod necklace was a real favorite.

The Hall: Art Showcase

The second Saturday of January SMMS was a Featured Artist at The Hall, a newly renovated artist collective located in the Hamlet of Palenville New York.  This benefit event was to help with the rebuilding of the swinging bridge, a historical foot bridge that was devastated by Hurricane Irene.
